Destiny Philipose was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where she attended Southern Nazarene University. She studied English Education and Psychology. While in school, she also studied French for five years and now speaks the language fluently.

Destiny has always been an avid reader. She even begged her mother to teach her to read before she started kindergarten! She began reviewing books in 2009 and has since developed a deep love for the YA book community. As a passionate YA reader, she tries to connect with the authors of the books she reads and treasures each author and their stories.

She resides in Oklahoma with her family and her quirky Chihuahua, Coco.
