Corrina Holyoake is an illustrator / artist, based in Bognor Regis. Her first eleven years were spent in Africa, and she has since travelled extensively. Being a ‘big kid’ at heart, Corrina tries to see her illustrations through the eyes of children, incorporating some humour wherever she can in the hope they will appeal to both child and adult alike.

This is from one of the very first book commissions I have worked on. Hedgerow Capers by Sandra Mitchell. I wanted to create a bit of a retro feel with the characters and had Beatrix Potter in my mind but with my colourful take on it. I am a huge colourist at heart and always try to use my colour palette to create a happy vibe. I created this with mainly traditional mediums of a combination of pastels, pencils and watercolours and then painted the sky in digitally.
