Holly DeWolf is an illustrator, author, mentor, blogger, mum and coffee drinker. She likes to make visual impressions and push ideas. Making things has always been a big part of Holly’s life. When she left NSCAD University she didn’t want any old job so she knew illustration was a keeper!
Holly loves the process and the idea that illustration creates big meaning through visual storytelling. She just recently finished illustrating her second children’s book that will be released June 2015. In addition to her illustration work, Holly also wrote the book Breaking Into Freelance Illustration in 2009 through How Books. Holly currently lives in the East coast of Canada with a beautiful view where she happily makes things every day.
Holly’s top 5 favourite things: coffee, cool vintage collections, sand and surf, gouache paint and books.
Her favourite quote: “When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself” -Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
Holly’s favourite things about illustration: working at home, the process, mentoring, endless learning, drawing, and doodling.
What you’ll always hear her say: “Write that down!”
